Fisheries

Fish in Elkhart Lake include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout and Walleye.  The lake’s water is moderately clear and fish habitat has been improved by providing “Fish Cribs”. (locations shown below)

In additon to the fish natural repoduction, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) also stock several species of fish.  If you are interested in the stocking program, please “Click Here”  to review the WI DNR Fish Stocking Summary.  This report includes the species, number, and average lenght of fish stocked in Elkhart Lake since 1976.
