A Message from our Friends at Glacial Lakes Conservancy

Looking to get outdoors, meet new people, do some fun educational conservation volunteering?  Elkhart Lake Improvement Association (ELIA) is happy to share this message below from our non-profit friends at Glacial Lakes Conversancy (GLC) whose mission is to permanently preserve and protect land and water resources for future generations!  Neighbors –

Good afternoon Grasshopper Hill Friends and Neighbors –

I hope you are all finding ways to stay warm and dry.  We are having our last work day of 2019 on Saturday, November 9th from 10 am to 1 pm at Grasshopper Hill Preserve, which is located on the south side of Elkhart Lake, off of Shoreland Road. For this work day we will be having volunteers help us by pulling, digging up the new growth of buckthorn along the trail, so please bring along work gloves! This will help make space for the native plants that were planted in 2017.

All the best,

Abbey Vizelka

Land Project Coordinator
